Art and activism often go hand in hand. The latest example is a display of United Way’s #UNIGNORABLE art at Revel in downtown Stratford, on through the end of January.
“United Way’s #UNIGNORABLE campaign highlights issues like poverty, homelessness and mental health,” says United Way Resource Development and Communication Manager Sonya Heyen. “Due to everyone’s busy lives, it’s sometimes easy to miss local issues. This art inspires people to stop, look and act.”
Artist Malika Favre, whose clients include the New Yorker and Penguin Books, created the art.
“We thank Revel for hosting us,” adds Heyen. “We’re always looking for ways to highlight local issues. Revel is helping make that happen.”
