Urgent Needs Fund for Individuals

Urgent Needs Fund for Individuals

Looking for help, please call 2-1-1. This fund is now distributed through 2-1-1 and available to residents across Perth County.

Huron County funds are currently depleted.  However, you can still call 2-1-1 for help with finding local supports and solutions for you.

Dialing 2-1-1 puts you in touch with a trained 211 Navigator who will assess your needs and challenges and search for local supports and solutions. 211 is free, confidential and will connect you to the right information and services in Huron or Perth County.  2-1-1 is available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year in over 150 languages.

If the 211 Navigator determines the UNF would be the best fit to help, they will help begin the simple, non-judgemental application process to the UWPH-supported fund.

211 helps you navigate the network of human services quickly and easily, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in over 150 languages. It’s Perth-Huron’s most comprehensive and reliable source of information on government and community based health and social services. When you call you are asked your language preference and then you are transferred to a live answer connector staff person. Staff will ask for your postal code to ensure you are connected to the most local services.

More details on 211 can be found here.
