Gray Ridge Egg Farms Supports United Way’s Work in North Perth

United Way is proud to celebrate Gray Ridge Egg Farms commitment to being Leader Match donors for a third year. Leader Match donors donate $6,000 or more to inspire others to give at the Leadership level of $100 per month.

“We care about the community and want to help,” said Gray Ridge Egg Farms President Scott Brookshaw. “United Way is a tremendous force for positive change locally and we are proud to give back through such a worthwhile organization.”

“We’re thankful for this generous gift,” added United Way Campaign Co-chair Martin Ritsma. “Agriculture as a sector is tremendously important to this region and we appreciate engaged donors like Gray Ridge Egg Farms supporting the campaign.”

United Way is committed to addressing important local issues, helping support almost 50 partners and programs across Perth-Huron including 18 in North Perth. Last year, 2,257 local residents received help from a UWPH supported partner.

Although United Way has reached its campaign goal, donations can still make a difference. Acknowledging the ongoing challenges faced by vulnerable people due to the COVID-19 pandemic, donations raised between now and the end of March go to United Way’s Urgent Needs Fund, helping individuals and families in a time of crisis with funds for essentials such as rent, groceries and medication. United Way is also working on bringing a new warming centre to Listowel and continues collaborating with local partners on a potential community hub.
