Enjoy an evening of classic 70s music at Revival House on Thursday, November 9 in support of United Way’s work in Stratford and area.
Classic Troubadours Live features musicians Jacob Moon, Alex Whorms, Ashley St. Pierre and Mark McIntyre performing the music of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and Carole King. Moon is no stranger to Stratford, having performed in the city many times in the past. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 plus fees. For a link to buy tickets, GO HERE.
United Way acknowledges the support of Artas Engineering & Design and an anonymous group of sponsors. A silent auction with items donated by local merchants will also be part of the evening.
Funds raised from the show go toward United Way’s work in Stratford and area in support of vulnerable local people including the Stratford Connection Centre and our Urgent Needs Fund.
The Stratford Connection Centre is a housing-based support serving those experiencing homelessness or who are otherwise vulnerable, providing wrap-around supports and access to basic needs including food, clothing, showers, laundry facilities and a warming/cooling space. Last year the Centre supported 287 people.
The Urgent Needs Fund is accessible 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year in over 150 languages through the 211 helpline. The Fund supports residents in a time of crisis with an immediate infusion of funds for essentials including rent, groceries, car repairs and medication. Last year 350 people in Stratford were helped by the Fund.
