Making a gift to the United Way is Easy! Choose from the options below, each directly supports our work in the community.

Single or Monthly Donation

Every dollar you donate makes a difference in your community. It’s never been faster or easier to donate to the United Way.

2. BY MAIL OR IN PERSON: Another quick easy option, you can download the Individual Gifts Pledge Form (PDF) and return it by regular mail or in person to:

Gift of Securities

Your gift can be made in the form of shares, bonds, or mutual funds. Eliminating capital gains tax on a gift of securities can offer significant tax advantages, depending on your situation.

Payroll Deduction Donation

Many workplaces run annual employee giving campaigns. Ask your employer if payroll deduction is available where you work.

Gift in Honour or in Memory

Honour or remember someone special by making an online gift. Upon request, we will send a handwritten note to the individual or family to acknowledge your tribute.

Endowment Funds

An endowment fund is a separate account established within a registered charity. Donations that build the fund’s capital are tax-deductible.

Legacy Giving

More and more donors to our annual campaign have also chosen to support United Way’s mission over the long term by leaving a gift in their Will or through another form of legacy giving. When these meaningful contributions are received, they are invested to ensure that today’s issues will be addressed tomorrow and wel into the future. 

For the last sixty years United Way Perth-Huron has helped build communittes that foster well-being and a sense of belonging for everyone. We are committed to continuing this work for generations to come, building a brighter future an a community where everyone can thrive. Creating a legacy through United Way is a pwerful way to shape lasting change in your community.

Create a legacy in four steps:
1. Refelct: Determine you philanthripic wishes and goals; this can lead to precious discussions with your loved ones and family members

2. Consult: Consult your legal or financial advisors: they will help you to chooise a giving strategy suited to your goals, needs and those of your family.

3. Include: INclude United Way Perth-Huron as a beneficiary in your Will.

4. Tell Us About It: with your permission, we would love to honour your gesture and thank you right away. Whether public or anonymous, your action will inspire others to do the same.

Gifts of an RRSP or RRIF

Retirement plan assets left to your heirs are often heavily taxed. When you donate all or part of an RRSP or RRIF to United Way in your will, a tax credit will be issued to offset the reduction in assets for your estate.

Giving Life Insurance

Name United Way as the beneficiary on your policy. The receipt issued qualifies for a tax credit that can offset the income tax liability on your estate. Your insurance adviser may have other planning options — including donating a new or existing life insurance policy to United Way — for you to explore. 

Become a Leader

Leader Donors come together to lead change around Perth-Huron’s most #UNIGNORABLE issues, demonstrating a commitment to the well-being of our community and driving social change. Leader Donors make a meaningful difference in the community with an individual annual donation of $1,200+($100 per month). This demonstration of #LocalLove helps address the root causes of social challenges and creates long-term strategies to solve them.

Inspire Others – Leadership Match

Leadership Match Donors understand that in order to address #UNIGNORABLE issues in Perth and Huron, it takes a collective effort. A Leadership Match donation of $6,000 is the fuel used to encourage other donors to become Leaders and commit to being more deeply involved in solving the issues confronting our community.
