211 Day highlights helpline connecting people to services across Perth-Huron

211 Day: February 11th – Connecting Perth-Huron residents to Vital Services

February 11th (2/11) marks 211 Day, a celebration of the 24/7, year-round service that provides free, multilingual assistance to Ontarians.

“211 Ontario connects people to essential local programs, services, and supports,” says Susan Faber, United Way Perth-Huron Director of Resource Development and Communications. “This helpline is a crucial resource for anyone needing help, ensuring they don’t face challenges alone. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please dial 2-1-1.”

211 Ontario offers personalized support for those in vulnerable situations. Whether dealing with mental health issues, food insecurity, or seeking access to the United Way Perth-Huron’s Urgent Needs Fund, dialing or texting 2-1-1, or visiting 211ontario.ca, can provide the necessary help.

Last year, 211 Ontario received over 1,400 calls from Perth-Huron and more than 7,000 website visits from individuals seeking information on local programs and services.
