Join United Way Perth-Huron’s Community Impact and Allocations Committee
United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) thrives thanks to dedicated volunteers who ensure the organization continues to serve Perth-Huron communities effectively. UWPH is now seeking new members for its Community Impact and Allocations Committee (CIAC) to help address urgent needs across the region.
“We are excited to work with volunteers who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to our decision-making process,” says Leah Kennedy, UWPH Manager of Community Impact. “If you want to make a difference in the lives of local people, we encourage you to apply and join our efforts.”
The CIAC plays a crucial role within UWPH by:
- Reviewing and evaluating funding applications
- Selecting community investments to match funding with needs
- Addressing systemic and social inequities
- Engaging with the community to set local priorities
- Acting as a liaison with supported partners
Terms are three years, and UWPH is particularly interested in members with a passion for equity work who live and/or work in Huron County, including Bluewater, Central Huron, Huron East, North Huron, Howick, Morris-Turnberry, ACW, South Huron, and Goderich.
