United Way Perth-Huron invites people to support important programs that address pressing local needs while having a chance to win meat packages and a cash grand prize through its new Meat & Moolah 50/50 raffle.

“Meat & Moolah is a fun way for people to support United Way and their community while celebrating the amazing producers from throughout the region,” said Ryan Erb, CEO of United Way Perth-Huron. “Every ticket purchased helps us strengthen local programs and services that support vulnerable people facing challenges from housing instability and homelessness to barriers accessing supports in the community they call home.”

The 14-week online-only fundraiser brings together meat producers from across the region with a series of draws leading up to the grand prize draw on Nov. 30:

• 5 at 10 a.m. — A box of bacon from McIntosh Farms (value $100)
• 19 at 10 a.m. — A “Pitmaster” box from Green’s Meat Market (value $140)
• 2 at 10 a.m. — A specially curated box of meat from JC Cattle Co (value $260)
• 16 at 10 a.m. — A premium beef family bundle and Wagyu ground beef bulk bundle combo from Van Osch Farms Premium Beef (value $700)
• 30 at 10 a.m. — Fifty per cent of gross ticket sales plus a “Smoker” prize pack from 5 Chicks and a Farmer (meat value $800)

Tickets are available until 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30. Prices are $5 for one ticket, $10 for 10 tickets, $20 for 50 tickets and $50 for 200 tickets.

Winners of meat prizes will be asked to arrange pickup directly with the participating producer or retailer.

Proceeds go to support United Way’s work funding local programs and services that help build stronger communities across the region.
