Every year, thousands of people across Perth-Huron rely on programs and services supported by United Way Perth-Huron. To ensure that support continues, the organization launched its 2026-27 fundraising campaign with a goal of $2,682,720.

“Across Perth-Huron and beyond, we’re seeing extremely high levels of financial anxiety. Too many people are worried about how they’ll pay their bills, and many say they couldn’t cover their expenses for even a month if they lost their job,” said Ryan Erb, CEO of United Way Perth-Huron. “These realities remind us that housing and income are the baseline social issues that impact everything else in a person’s life.

“For more than 60 years, United Way has responded to the changing needs of our communities, and today that work continues. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of donors, volunteers, workplaces and community partners who continue to step up and join us in shaping a better community. One where everyone feels supported, cared for and heard.”

Funds raised support over 30 local programs and organizations working to address some of the region’s most pressing issues. Whether helping someone find stable housing, access mental health supports or building connections within their community, every dollar helps ensure help is there when and where people need it.

“The campaign goal represents the resources needed to strengthen our communities and support vulnerable local people,” added Erb. “Every donation helps create the opportunity to be better. We’re looking forward to connecting with people across Perth-Huron and engaging them to join us in strengthening the supports that should be available for everyone.”
