Trillium Mutual Insurance is the latest North Perth business to certify as a living wage employer.
“Trillium believes that our people are at the heart of what we do,” said Tracy MacDonald, President and CEO of Trillium Mutual Insurance. “They are what make us unique and by providing a living wage we are committed to the growth of our staff, community and economy. Our corporate culture is incredibly important to us and this is just one step to help us maintain our dedication to supporting our staff and their families.”
“We appreciate Trillium Mutual Insurance committing to their employees by certifying as North Perth’s latest living wage employer,” added United Way Perth-Huron Executive Director Ryan Erb. “Their certification demonstrates the value they place on their employees and the well-being of the place they call home. We applaud their leadership in helping build a stronger North Perth community.”
Based on a 35-hour work week, the Perth-Huron living wage is calculated regularly using local data and takes into account the living expenses of a weighted average of family types including a family of four, a single mother supporting a seven-year-old child and a single adult, once government transfers and deductions are factored in. Everyday expenses in the calculation include housing, food, utilities, childcare and transportation. For more information about Perth-Huron’s living wage, GO HERE.
