United Way’s Goderich and Area Community Committee is proud to announce Banding Together 4 United Way Perth-Huron, the UWPH 2023-24 campaign kickoff, happening Saturday, September 23 at the Goderich Memorial Arena.
“We are looking forward to getting this year’s campaign started,” said Michelle Millar, manager community development, Goderich and area. “United Way is involved in so much work locally helping vulnerable people, including support for programs and services available through the Huron Homelessness Initaitive. This event is a great opportunity for people to enjoy some great music, learn more about what United Way is working on in Goderich and area — including Central Huron, Huron East and Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh — and find out our campaign goal for this year. We hope to see everyone there!”
Beginning at 8 p.m., Banding Together 4 United Way features music by three popular local bands: the Homers, Blacklist Social and the Full Nelsons. Tickets are $25 each (plus service fees) for this licensed event and age of majority is required. A silent auction and 50/50 draw are also part of the evening’s festivities.
