Famme & Co. Professional Corporation are the latest organization to certify as a living wage employer in the Champion category.
“Although as an organization we have previously met the local living wage criteria our hope through officially joining the Ontario Living Wage Network is that we can inspire other local businesses to become living wage employers while reaffirming our continued commitment to the Southwestern Ontario communities we serve,” said Lindsay Clarke, Human Resources & Administrative Manager of Famme & Co. Professional Corporation.
Calculated annually by the United Way Perth-Huron’s Social Research and Planning Council (SRPC), the living wage is based on the living expenses of a family of four with both adults working full-time for 35 hours a week, once government transfers and deductions are taken into account. Everyday expenses included in the calculation are food, housing, utilities, childcare and transportation. Perth-Huron’s living wage is currently $17.55 per hour. For more information, go HERE.
