United Way Perth-Huron invites the North Perth community — including local workplaces and individuals — to Unite For a Bite in support of the organization’s work building brighter futures for North Perth’s most vulnerable residents.

On Friday, November 18, eight local restaurants and caterers will each offer a select meal made available for this initiative. Businesses can opt to buy lunch for their team members, encourage employees to take part through a $20 meal purchase, or buy meals and donate them to local organizations that would benefit from the meals. Individual or small group orders are also welcomed. Five dollars from every meal purchased will be directed towards United Way’s work in North Perth.

Participating restaurants include the Atwood Café, Country Style Family Restaurant, Diana Sweets, Holy Guacamole, JoAnne’s Catering, the Kitchen Cupboard, Spice India and Veky’s. The deadline to order meals from participating restaurants is Friday, November 11. Those interested in joining this community-wide initiative can email Todd Kasenberg for copies of the marketing package, including order form.

Last year, the Unite For a Bite event was held as part of September campaign kickoff celebrations in North Perth and sold 650 meals.
