United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) wants to help communities get into holiday spirit this year by getting everyone into a pair of $15 UWPH #UNIGNORABLE socks.
“We decided to bring back socks again for this year,” says UWPH Executive Director Ryan Erb. “United Way works to address serious issues in our communities like homelessness, poverty and mental health, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun. These socks are a great stocking stuffer and a way of keeping United Way in the minds, and on the feet, of people in our region.”
If socks aren’t in your holiday gift plans, UWPH is also launching this year’s online Feel Good Giving holiday gift guide for people interested in helping those in need with gifts in honour of family and friends.
“The holidays can be a time of family and celebration,” says UWPH Executive Director Ryan Erb. “But we also know that, increasingly, there are many people in our communities too busy focussing on just surviving to celebrate.
“For those looking for something a little different, who want to honour the people they love and support their community, the Feel Good Giving guide is a great option.”
The guide offers choices for people to donate at different levels to help address #UNIGNORABLE local issues. Go to our Gift Guide, click on ‘Make Purchase’ and choose the gift you want to give.
