Blyth Festival ticket can do double duty this December

For one special performance, your ticket to the Blyth Festival will open the door to great theatre and help local people in need through United Way Perth-Huron.

On Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m., enjoy the kick-off preview of A Huron County Christmas Carol. For every ticket sold, $5 goes to support United Way’s Northern Huron Connection Centre at St. Paul’s Trinity Anglican Church in Wingham.

“The Blyth Festival is passionate about telling our local stories,” said Blyth Festival Artistic Director Gil Garratt. “And United Way’s Northern Huron Connection Centre is a great local story when it comes to offering caring, safety and support across the county. We’re proud to help where we can, and hope folks will come together to turn an afternoon at the theatre into hope and home for people in need.”

This exclusive offer includes a special discounted price of $38 plus HST, with handling fees waived. To access the discount, call the Blyth Festival box office at 1-877-862-5984 and use the promo code UNITED. Seats are limited. Order deadline is Tuesday, November 25.

Serving Howick, North Huron and Morris-Turnberry, the Connection Centre is a welcoming, safe space for the community’s most vulnerable to rest, access basic needs, healthcare services, identification assistance and more. Partnerships with agencies — including CMHA Huron Perth which operates the Centre — mean individuals can access important services and supports under one roof. Last year, there were 834 total visits to the Northern Huron Connection Centre and 27 people were housed.
