United Way set to kick off campaign in Huron County

Community members are invited to kick off the 2026 United Way Perth-Huron campaign with an evening of food, music and fundraising at Grand Bend Stirling Sands Vineyards on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Doors open at 4 p.m. for an event featuring a buffet dinner, silent auction, 50-50 draw and live entertainment by Country Junction. Tickets are $25 per person, with proceeds helping local people access financial assistance during times of crisis through United Way’s Urgent Needs Fund.

The event also serves as the finale for United We Ride, United Way’s inaugural charity motorcycle ride.

Rain or shine, the ride begins at Maitland River Community Church in Wingham, with check-in starting at 9 a.m. Riders can take part in a mobile scavenger hunt, and they can also stop for lunch at the Goderich Legion.

Registration for United We Ride is $45 per rider and $30 per passenger. Both options include admission to the evening event. Participants must be legally licensed and insured.

UWPH would like to thank our sponsors, Lynn Hoy, Compass Minerals, Jayden’s Mechanical and Libro Credit Union.
