United Way Access Centres

United Way Access Centres

Access Centres are part of United Way’s strategy to improve access to services for residents of Perth and Huron. Bringing services to people helps overcome transportation challenges and other barriers.

Exeter location: The Well Youth Hub, Huron Perth Children’s Aid Society, Employment Services, and Legal Services are regularly providing service on site. We anticipate many others will use the space over time.
*The Exeter Access Centre was supported in part by a SLED grant funded by Huron County Economic Development and Community Futures Huron.

Vanastra location: Operated in partnership with the Vanastra Christian Reformed Church. It is available to book via their administration by calling 519-482-7376.

Listowel location: Now open. For more information, contact United Way Executive Director, Ryan Erb by email or call 519-271-7730, Extension 222. We acknowledge the support of Farm Credit Canada (AgriSpirit Fund) and the Stratford and Perth County Community Foundation for their help in making this space possible.

In contrast to Access Centres, United Way Connection Centres—currently in Stratford, Wingham and Exeter—focus on helping vulnerable individuals experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness. Assistance available at Connection Centres includes access basic needs such as laundry, food, and showers, along with the possibility to connect with services that help individuals on their journey toward stable housing, or other challenges they may face.
