Recently I was asked to be the guest speaker at the Stratford & District Annual Chamber of Commerce awards. This is a significant honour. My plan is to speak about the increasing importance of collaboration among the for profit and not-for-profit sectors. Without steeling too much of the presentation in case you happen to be going, I plan to speak about community conversations where traditionally we have operated in silos. A conversation about poverty, is also a conversation about the economy. A conversation about solving transportation needs for low income people is also about the work force shortage. Moving forward, it is my intention to promote more discussion across the artificial line that seems to exist and as a result, I believe everyone will benefit. So, if you not too busy on Thursday May 3rd, buy a ticket and enjoy what traditionally is a fantastic evening.
