Elder abuse is often referred to as ‘the hidden crime.’ It can take many forms, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, financial abuse, mental abuse and neglect.

This report provides a overall picture of elder abuse. It is an information that is meant for everyone to recognize the signs and know the helpful service providers – particularly for those being abused and those concerned about a senior that may be being abused.

Included are risk factors, personal experiences, professional perspectives, and a listing of senior services in Perth and Huron Counties.
