Leadership Giving

When you give at the leadership level of $1,200 or more, you’ll make an even bigger impact on the lives of people across Perth and Huron. Leadership giving is an important part of United Way individual giving and employee campaigns in workplaces.  

Become an Everyday Hero

By giving at least $1 a day ($365 a year) you will ensure that children through to seniors are living better lives every day because of United Way funded programs. Find out more.

Workplace Campaigns

Each year over 270 organizations and thousands of employees from all sectors across Perth and Huron participate in a United Way Workplace Campaign.  Find out more.

Sponsorship

United Way Perth and Huron has many sponsorship opportunities available including event sponsorship, marketing material sponsorship and our loaned representative program. Find out more.

Loaned Representative or Sponsored Employee

The term Loaned Representative or Sponsored Employee refers to an employee who is loaned to the United Way from an organization during the annual United Way Campaign (September to December), and/or a person who is hired by the United Way and paid through sponsorship dollars from a local organization/company. Find out more.

Third Party Events 

Many workplaces or groups organize and run events, donating the proceeds to the United Way. Examples are Past Chair’s Spaghetti Dinner, Agricultural Society Breakfast and The Stratford Festival’s Gobble and Gab.  Find out more. Please email campaign@perthhuron.unitedway.ca.

Planned Giving

Forever Fund

The Forever Fund is the permanent endowment fund of United Way Perth-Huron. When you make a donation to the Forever Fund, the money is invested and the principal is preserved. Only the income earned is used to support essential services and programs, ensuring your gift will benefit future generations. Find out more.

PHILANTHROPY is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights:

I

To be informed of the organization’s mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.

II

To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.

III

To have access to the organization’s most recent financial statements.

IV

To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.

V

To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.

VI

To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.

VII

To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.

VIII

To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.

IX

To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share.

X

To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
