Festival Hydro and United Way Perth-Huron Partner to Spread Positivity Through Paperless
Festival Hydro is preparing to launch their Positivity Through Paperless campaign which will run from August 1st to October 31st. The initiative, which ran for the first time late last year, gives Festival Hydro customers the opportunity to switch to paperless billing; a decision that reduces environmental impacts and provides a $5 donation to United Way Perth Huron for each customer that makes the change to paperless billing.
“We were very happy with the results of last year’s campaign,” says Festival Hydro’s Customer Service Manager Irene McInnes. “Ultimately, 620 customers switched to paperless billing. Not only did that mean less paper, but we donated $3,100 to help United Way continue to build strong local communities.”
Making the switch to paperless billing easy. Customers are encouraged to call Festival Hydro at 519-271-4700 to speak with a customer service representative or visit festivalhydro.com to register for the MyFestivalHydro portal and select the paperless billing option when registering. Access to the portal will also allow customers to monitor their consumption, gain insight on their rates and current Time-of-Use information.
“Festival Hydro has a long history of supporting United Way Perth-Huron,” said UWPH Executive Director Ryan Erb. “We are so pleased to partner with them once again on the Positivity Through Paperless campaign. Their continued support, and the support of their customers, helps ensure United Way has the resources it needs to continue our diverse work in local communities.”
Based on the three pillars of helping individuals move from poverty to possibility, building strong communities and helping kids realize their full potential, United Way Perth-Huron works to create positive change locally.
Festival Hydro CEO Ysni Semsedini said “We are very grateful for the opportunity to give back to the communities where our customers live and to show our support for an organization that touches the lives of so many people.”
